About Ola

Ola has an academic background in Engineering Physics and Medicine, and a professional background as an elite athlete, playing European Team Handball in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

In 2001 he founded the bioinformatics company Ludesi, developing world-leading digital image analysis software for protein images. Ludesi was in 2008 appointed “Emerging Technology of the Year" for the global proteomics market by leading industry analyst Frost & Sullivan. Ludesi’s software was later to be licensed by market leader Bio-Rad Laboratories in San Fransisco.

Ola’s work with Ludesi has put him on Internet Sweden’s top 20 list of Sweden’s web entrepreneurs, as well as on MIT’s list of the world’s best entrepreneurs under 35.

Ola was also appointed to be part of the Industrial Advisory Board for the Human Proteome Organization (HUPO), outlining protein research guidelines of the future together with representatives of leading biotech companies worldwide.

In 2011 Ola launched his own investment company, Forsstrom-Olsson Ventures, investing time and money in promising start-ups and entrepreneurs, world-wide. To read more about Ola's various companies, see About.me
