Strategic Coaching

Did you ever wonder why you do the things you do? Or more specifically – why you DON’T do the things you say you want to do? Why is that? These questions can easily be understood from the paradigm of Human Needs Psychology.

Human Needs Psychology is a very straight-forward model for explaining human behavior, developed and refined by Tony Robbins and Cloé Madanes. It is also an extremely powerful tool for rapidly modifying human behavior. It rests on three pillars: your needs, your beliefs, and the emotional states you are habitually addicted to.

Your emotional needs drive your decisions

According to Human Needs Psychology you have 6 emotional needs: certainty, variety, significance, love/connection, growth and contribution. Everybody has them, but the needs you value highest will influence and drive all your choices in life. In Human Needs Psychology we call this your "driving forces" - the reasons why you do what you do.

Your belief systems guide your decisions

The beliefs you have about the world influence your interpretation of events, your expectations, and guide a large part of your responses. In Human Needs Psychology we recognize 7 different types of beliefs: global beliefs, identity beliefs, values, rules, vehicles, situation specific beliefs and metaprograms. The collection of beliefs you have accumulated we call your "map", or your "guiding forces" - your beliefs about how you can meet your emotional needs and what things mean.

Your physiology, focus and language patterns

The third pillar is the emotions you are habitually addicted to. Your emotional state is affected by your physiology, your focus and your language. We call this "the triad", or your “molders of meaning”, coloring all your reactions, thoughts and responses.
